Day 1: Shilin Scenic Area — A World Wonder of Karst Topography

Shilin (the Stone Forest) is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction, hailed as the "Foremost Wonder Under Heaven." Shaped by 270 million years of geological evolution, the site features a comprehensive array of Paleozoic karst landforms characterized by their unique shapes and formations. "The Eighteen Oddities of Yunnan: Stones Growing Up to the Sky"—this local adage vividly captures the fantastical scenery of the Stone Forest. As a vital component of the "South China Karst" system, Shilin was officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Greater Stone Forest Area: The core zone of the scenic park, this is where the famous inscription of the characters "Shi Lin" (Stone Forest) is located. The area is characterized by towering, densely packed stone peaks and is home to numerous attractions such as the "Stone Forest Vista," "The Perilous Line," "Sword Peak Pond," "Phoenix Preening Its Wings," "Elephant Perched on a Platform," and "Wangfeng Pavilion." Ascending to Wangfeng Pavilion offers a panoramic, awe-inspiring view of the entire "sea of ​​stones" stretching out below.

The Lesser Stone Forest Area: Situated to the northeast of the Greater Stone Forest, this section features expansive grassy meadows dotted with scattered stone pillars. The most striking feature here is the stone statue of "Ashima," the Sani goddess. According to legend, Ashima—a clever and beautiful Sani maiden—fought against tyranny to protect her true love; tragically, she was swept away by a flood and transformed into a stone statue. She now stands eternally beside the Jade Bird Pond, carrying her traditional basket on her back as she gazes into the distance, awaiting the return of her beloved.

Day 2: Dianchi Lake + Western Hills + Yunnan Nationalities Village — Scenic Beauty and Ethnic Culture

Dianchi Lake Haigeng Dam

Located within the Kunming Dianchi National Tourism Resort, the Haigeng Dam offers a superb vantage point for admiring the scenic beauty of Dianchi Lake and the Western Hills.

A Winter Sanctuary for Seagull Watching: From November to March each year, tens of thousands of black-headed gulls migrate from Siberia to spend the winter here, making it a nationally renowned hotspot and "must-visit" destination for observing these magnificent birds. This is Asia's largest trading hub for fresh-cut flowers. Every day, over 1,600 varieties across 117 different categories are traded here. More than 80% of all fresh-cut flowers produced in Yunnan Province pass through Dounan before being exported to over 50 countries and regions—including Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Russia. Stepping into this market is a powerful and beautiful feast for the senses.

Nanping Pedestrian Street

Located in the heart of Kunming, Nanping Street is the city's most bustling commercial thoroughfare and remains open throughout the day.

• A Century of Commercial Heritage:Nanping Street boasts a long and storied history, serving as Kunming's traditional commercial hub. Lined with shopping malls on both sides, the street brings together a diverse array of international brands and unique local specialty shops.
