2. Itinerary Overview:

Xiangshawan Scenic Area

Xiangshawan is a AAAAA-level tourist attraction in China, located at the eastern end of the Kubuqi Desert in Dalad Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. Its name originates from a magical natural phenomenon—"the sand sings."

When the sun is shining and the sand is dry, climbing up a sand dune and sliding down will produce a breathtaking, ethereal sound that grows louder as it approaches. Why does the sand make a sound? This remains a mystery. Scholars have proposed various explanations, including the "geographical environment theory," the "resonance box principle," and the "air vibration theory." It is this mystery that gives Xiangshawan its unique and magical charm.

Xiangshawan consists of several functional islands, including a comprehensive service area, Xiangshawan Port, Xiansha Island, Yuesha Island, Liansha Island, and Fusha Island. The scenic area boasts the world's first desert cableway, China's largest camel herd (over 500 camels), and a top-tier Mongolian ethnic art troupe.

①Xiansha Island Experience – "Passionate Desert, Exciting Amusement"

Xiansha Island is the dynamic entertainment center of Xiangshawan, specializing in various thrilling desert amusement projects, and is known as "Disneyland in the Desert."

Desert Motorcycles/All-Terrain Vehicles: Speed across the undulating sand dunes, experience the weightlessness of a vertical plunge, with the roar of engines and the sound of the wind intertwined – perfect for thrill-seeking young people.

Camel Riding: China's largest camel caravan, with approximately 500 camels. Wandering through the desert, the melodious sound of camel bells transports you back to the ancient Silk Road of China.

High-altitude zipline: Soar over sand valleys, overlooking golden waves of sand below, experiencing the freedom of flight.

Rail bike: Ride on elevated tracks, enjoying unique perspectives of the desert landscape.

Sandboard/desert dune buggy: Drift and glide between dunes like a roller coaster, with unique models like "Bigfoot".

Sandboarding: Slide down from the top of a dune, experiencing the thrill of a "whoosh" as you plunge, while listening to the rustling of the sand.

②Yue Sha Island Experience – "A Dreamlike Combination of Desert Culture and Water"

Yue Sha Island is the cultural and leisure center of Xiangshawan, harmoniously blending desert culture and Mongolian customs.

"Ordos Wedding" Live Performance: A Mongolian intangible cultural heritage performance held at the Desert Art Palace. Featuring the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), throat singing, and a real horse team, the entire audience rises to their feet in applause when the bride lifts her veil.

Desert Water World: Covering over 20,000 square meters, it boasts four swimming pools of different sizes and a children's water play area. Play on the water trampolines and slides, experiencing the coolness of the desert.

Sand Sculpture Park: Wander through the park, feeling the artistic charm of sand and admiring exquisite sand sculptures.

③Desert Sunset – “A Healing Moment You Must See in Your Lifetime”

The desert sunset is the most moving moment of your trip to Xiangshawan, described by countless tourists as “beauty beyond words.”

As the sun sets, the sky is dyed a gradient of orange and rose gold, the rolling sand dunes are bathed in warm light, and their golden outlines are exceptionally soft under the sunset.

Sit on a sand dune, watching the sun slowly sink below the horizon, and the whole world quiets down. At this moment, all fatigue is healed, leaving only a resonance between the heart and nature.

Sunset is also the golden hour for photography, with soft light and rich colors.
