Saudi Splendors Unveiled: A 10-Day Tour of Discovery

10-day Programme Saudi Arabia 

Embark on an immersive journey through Saudi Arabia, where ancient traditions meet modern architectural marvels. Experience the dynamics of Riyadh's cityscape, immerse yourself in the historical allure of AlUla, visit sacred sites in Madinah, explore the bustling metropolis of Jeddah, and marvel at the scenic beauty of Abha. This tour promises a captivating blend of cultural richness and modern-day experience, offering an unforgettable Arabian adventure.

Day 1: Dubai - Riyadh  

Flight to Riyadh, airport pick up, and free evening

Day 2: Riyadh 

We’ll explore Ad Diriyah and its UNESCO World Heritage-listed Al Turaif district  (note that sometimes the government tends to close this for renovations, so some flexibility is needed). We’ll also visit places such as Al Masmak Fortress and the  Dheera Souq, the National Museum, Al Murraba Palace, etc. In the evening we’ll explore a few cool lit-up buildings and hip modern places.

Day 3: Edge of the world 

Enjoy a free morning for relaxing at the hotel or some free exploring. After lunch, we’ll go to the Edge of the World for some hiking. We’ll have some nice local BBQ under the stars and will head back to Riyadh after dinner.

Day 4: Fly to AlUla 

Take an Early flight from Riyadh to Al Ula, and start the day by visiting the gateway Madain Saleh, the first UNESCO World Heritage site of Saudi Arabia. Visit Qasr Al  Farid, Qasr Al Bint, Khuraimat, Al Diwan, four of the best-preserved tombs in this archaeological site as well as the famous Elephant Rock! 

We will head to the Old Town of Al-Ula, where you can wander through its narrow streets lined with traditional mud-brick houses. We’ll also visit the Al-Ula Museum to learn more about the region's history and culture. 

If there’s time, we will visit the Alula Oasis and walk between the huge palm trees and farms.

Day 5: Al'Ula

We’ll begin the second day with a visit to Dadan Archaeological Park, an ancient city dating back to biblical times. Explore its ruins, including tombs, temples, and ancient inscriptions that provide insights into the Nabatean civilization. 

Then we’ll head to Jabal Ikmah, an open-air library carved into a sandstone cliff face.  Admire its well-preserved inscriptions and rock-cut chambers while learning about its historical significance as a center for knowledge exchange. 

We’ll spend the afternoon exploring Elephant Rock, a natural rock formation resembling an elephant. Take memorable photos against this unique backdrop and enjoy the surrounding desert scenery.

Day 6: Al'Ula - Madinah 

We’ll go on a 4-hour drive to Madinah where we’ll visit the city center and will get a glimpse of the Holy Sites. The city is beautifully located in between the hills and coming here is a special experience.

Day 7: Madinah - Jeddah 

Transfer to Jeddah later in the day by train, receive at the train station, and transfer to hotel and rest.

Day 8: Jeddah 

Start the day by visiting the historic district of Al-Balad. Explore the narrow streets,  traditional houses, and ancient architecture. We’ll also visit the iconic Al-Naseef  House and the nearby Souq Al-Alawi. 

We’ll spend some time shopping at one of Jeddah's modern malls like Red Sea Mall or Mall of Arabia. These malls offer a wide range of international brands, local boutiques, and entertainment options.

Will then head to the Corniche, a beautiful waterfront promenade along the Red Sea.  Enjoy a leisurely walk or rent a bicycle to explore the area. Take in the stunning views of the sea and admire the famous King Fahd Fountain. 

Day 9: Morning flight to Abha 

Morning flight to Abha. Upon arrival in Abha, we'll explore the city and its traditional baskets market. Next, admire the impressive artworks by local and  regional artists at Muftaha Village Art Gallery, and get a chance to have a personal  interaction with some friendly local Saudis there 

After lunch, we will hit the road for almost 2 hours north of Abha to Tanomah where we will hike through the jungles of the south for a duration of one to two hours.  Afterward, we will have a delightful barbecue dinner and head back to Abha.

Day 10:  

Morning flight to either Jeddah or Riyadh. End of tour
