ONE DAY TOUR OF ANTANANARIVO AND LEMURS VISIT
All tours include:
All guests are picked up at a hotel of their choice. Today we will see the history and culture of Antananarivo, from the Indonesian settlers up through the French Colonial to the quintessential Malagasy landmarks of the Indian Ocean's most colorful capital.
"Tana" is the most vivid and vibrant city in Madagascar and has a kaleidoscope of ethnic foods, flavors, fashion, and is built on a hill overlooking the planes of the central rift of the island. The Rova stands atop and looks out over the city below, and is our first stop on the rollercoaster, for a great viewpoint. Lake Anosy, the government and historical buildings, the president's house, and the central markets and antique train station of Tana intertwine with the San-Francisco-like hills and winding roads with faded French splendor and unique local architecture. We drive more than an hour out of the city later this afternoon to visit Lemurs in the closest park to the city, where you can see several species. In the evening, return to your chosen hotel.
