Mosul Day Tour from Erbil
- 기간: 1 일 (대략)
- 위치: Erbil
- 상품 코드: DTMosul
In Iraq, the city of Mosul is regarded as the Pearl of the North. With a rich history dating back to 6000 BC, Mosul gained prominence in 1800 BC when it was designated as the City of Nineveh, the capital of the Neo-Assyrian Empire. Regrettably, Mosul has gained more attention in recent years as a result of ISIS's 2014–2017 occupation and destruction of the city, leaving a significant number of historical sites and educational institutions either completely in ruins or in ruins.
It's hard to imagine a place more iconic than Mosul. In fact, Mosul is considered to be among the larger and more historically and culturally significant cities of the Arab world. Due to its strategic location, Mosul has long been a major hub for international trade and tourism.
The once-beautiful city of Mosul is now a shell of its former self. The city was attacked by ISIS and has been abandoned for years. A few sights have been restored, but there are still plenty of places to explore where you can still get a sense of what life was like before the war.
