Day Tour Babylon from Baghdad

Many of the oldest cities in the world are found in Iraq, which also holds the majority of the Fertile Crescent and has been dubbed the Cradle of Civilization.

The ancient city of Babylon was once one of the most important cities in the ancient world. Built along the banks of the historic Euphrates river, it became the largest and most famous city in the world. It served as the capital city of Babylonia, a kingdom in ancient Mesopotamia.

Babylon served as the capital of the Babylonian Empire and was regarded as a hub for trade, culture, and knowledge. The city also had an enormous influence on art, literature, architecture and religion throughout its long history. It was ultimately added on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2019 after years of lobbying. Hopefully, this will encourage more people to travel to Babylon, but more importantly, its inclusion ensures its long-term preservation.

Why not take a trip to the ancient city of Babylon? Its rich history and culture will captivate you like never before. As you explore the historic city of Babylon, it will seem as though you are traveling through time.
