Lokobe National Park is the last rainforest stronghold on Nosy Be and is a wonderful place to encounter lemurs and discover an abundance of plants in all forms and colors. For cruise ship passengers it is possible to go to Lokobe National Park for half a day, in which we come to fetch you at the port and bring you back in time to the dock for when the cruise ship takes off from Nosy Be. This day excursion is a good way to explore the fauna and flora Nosy be’s last primary forest has to offer.
Lokobe National Park is a true tropical paradise and has a whopping 376 animal species. There are three lemurs in Lokobe: mouse lemur, sportive lemur and black lemur. There are also 17 endemic bird species which can be seen at the park, as well as a variety of chameleons, lizards, frogs and snakes.
