Itinerary


Day 1 - Maroantsetra - Fizono

Arrive in Maroantsetra. Meet and greet your guide at the designated pick-up location and trek through the Farankaraina Private Tropical Park. Pass by a number of vanilla, pepper, coffee, and clove plantations to get to the village of Fizonoafter, where you will spend the night.


Day 2 - Fizono - Ampofako

Trek through the Farankaraina Private Tropical Park after returning to Maroantsetra and taking a canoe ride to Andranofotsy. Before stopping at the Mahalevona Community for a picnic, drive by a number of vanilla, pepper, coffee, and clove plantations to get to the village of Fizono, where you will spend the night.


Day 3 - Ampofako - Antsambalahy

Enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning before packing up and beginning your hike through many streams and mountain peaks. Take in the breathtaking scenery of Masoala National Park while exploring the Ambatolaidama forest's labyrinthine passages in quest of the rare Red Ruffed Lemur. After a brief stop for a picnic lunch, you will continue on until you reach Ampokafo, where you will set up camp for the night.


Day 4 - Antsambalahy - Antalaha

Resume your trip to Antsambalahy after breakfast. Pass through a number of rice fields and vanilla plantations on the way. Lemurs, chameleons, birds, and frogs are just a few examples of the Madagascar-specific wildlife that can be spotted while trekking to Antsambalahy, where you will get in a taxi and travel to Antalaha.
