Nosy Tanikely Day Tour: Nosy Be’s Natural Aquarium

The marine reserve of Nosy Tanikely with its abundant corals and exceptional biodiversity, offers habitats for many underwater species. A diversified coral reef and a privileged position in the middle of the bay of Nosy Be in Madagascar give it its nickname "natural aquarium".

The warm tropical waters and the alluvial contribution of the "Sambirano" river have resulted in a large number of species having taken up residence on this small island. Indeed, a varied and spectacular fauna lives all around the island.

 Nosy Antanikely means "the island of small land", it is uninhabited and visitors come on day trips but you cannot overnight on the island. Since 2010, access to the island has been controlled. A radius of 700 m around the lighthouse delimits the nature reserve area. The infrastructure on site is very modest: a reception, a picnic area and toilets. The "East" beach is the swimming area, however, it is possible to dive all around the island, buoys delimit the area of ​​the reserve.
