The Magic of Tumaco - 6 Days

This morning depart from your hotel after enjoying a traditional breakfast. You will head out from Bocagrande and experience one of the biggest highlights in the area. seeing the incredible humpback whales along their journey. Later this afternoon arrive back to Bocagrande for a traditional dinner and evening at a local cultural location on the beaches of Bocagrande.

Day 2: Punta de Cascajal

Explore the area of Punta de Cascajal overnight in Punta de Cascajal.

Day 3: Mangroves

Explore local mangroves this morning with your guide and have an opportunity to spend some time with locals who call this place home. 

Day 4: Cacao Experience

Today learn directly from the families who harvest the cacao. You will have the opportunity to experience the entire process and transformation. This evening enjoy a local favorite, a Chiva Bus Tour - music, dancing, and Chiva Bus of course!

Day 5: Birdwatching

Tumaco is an incredibly diverse area for birds. If you do not consider yourself an avid birdwatcher, today is still a very enjoyable day. Listening to the different melodies of the birds, exploring the forest, and immersing yourself in the natural environment is definitely worth your time today!

Day 6: Fishing

Spend some time today with a local fisherman and learn the ropes of what it takes! Enjoy fishing together and being on the water, a true local experience you will not forget.
