Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kyoto

Arrive at Kyoto Station. Your local guide will meet you at the train station and take you to the hotel. Take time to freshen up and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2

Visit the Magnificent Kiyomizudera Temple

One of Japan’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Kiyomizudera Temple is best known for its large wooden stage juts out over the hillside, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city. Feel free to drink a cup of the Otowa Waterfalls’ stream water for good health, longevity, success, and auspicious love life. 

Explore the Historic Higashiyama District

Walk along the steep and bustling Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka alleys of the well-preserved Higashiyama district packed with traditional shops and restaurants offering a selection of local specialities. See the Japanese Macaques at the Monkey Park Iwatayama

Day 4

Enjoy the tranquil, sacred mountrail trail from Kurama to Kibune, experience the fun and novel way of eating Nagashi Somen at Hirobun, and see the famous temple and shrine in the area.

Visit the Elegant Ginkakuji Temple

One of the structures that represents the Higashiyama Culture of the Muromachi period, Ginkakuji Temple is also known as the Silver Pavilion. See the interesting Sea of Silver Sand, admire the wabi-sabi elements of the temple, and enjoy a serene stroll along the fascinating Path of Philosophy. 

See the Famous Nanzenji Temple

Explore one of the most famous Rinzai Zen temples in the country. Originally a retirement villa of Emperor Kameyama, the temple houses a temple hall and garden centered around a pond. Day 5

See the Historic Tofukuji Temple

Admire the magnificent natural landscapes as you walk around the ancient Zen temple. One of the oldest and most famous temples in Kyoto, Tofukuji Temple is particularly famous for its eye-catching autumn colors.

Visit the Famous Yasaka Shrine

See the most famous shrine in the Gion area and its iconic vermilion gate. One of the most important shrines in Kyoto, Yasaka Shrine is also considered as the Spiritual Heart of Kyoto. Ring the large bells at the main sanctuary to notify the gods of your presence and feel free to offer your prayers for beauty and love. 

Explore the Popular Shopping Area along Shijo Street

Day 6

Explore the Scenic Nara Park

Start the day with a journey to Nara, the first permanent capital of the country known for its incredible historic treasures, including some of Japan’s oldest and largest temples. Upon arrival in Nara, head to Nara Park and take in its spectacular scenic beauty as you leisurely stroll around the park and get an insight on Japan’s Buddhist history. Nara Park is well-known for its hundreds of wild deer roaming around the park, so do not miss this chance to interact with the tame deers. Afterwards, check out the Great Buddha Hall which houses one of Japan’s largest bronze statues of Buddha. Travel to Osaka

End the day with a trip from Nara to Osaka. Upon arrival, make your way to the hotel and check in. Rest well and recharge for the next day exploring Osaka, the economic powerhouse of the Kansai Region known for its delicious culinary delights and exciting nightlife. 

Day 7

Explore the Osaka Castle Area

Visit the Osaka Museum of History and learn about the history of Osaka. The museum boasts exhibits that chronicles Osaka’s history, from ancient times up to the modern era. Then, continue to the charming Nishinomaru Garden to take some photos with the magnificent Osaka Castle as the backdrop and admire the amazing scenery of the garden filled with cherry blossom trees.

The five-story Osaka Castle is one of the most famous landmarks and one of the most impressive  structures in Japan. Day 8

Depart from Osaka

Check out from the hotel after breakfast. With the help of the local guide, take the shuttle bus to Kansai International Airport for your journey back home.
