Standing tall as Antioquia’s capital and Colombia’s second largest city, Medellin and its 3 million people have done a fantastic job shedding its controversial reputation while quickly becoming known as Latin Americas most progressive city. As a valley city this metropolis clings to the surrounding mountains and their limitless coffee plantations making it a year-round springlike atmosphere. A new wave of construction to an already architecturally exciting and bustling place is going on with a strong dedication to more innovative cultural ideas. This 3-day package is the perfect preface to creating your remarkable Colombian getaway.

Day 1: Medellin City Tour

Begin your Medellin experience with private transport all around the city limits, visiting sites like San Antonio Park, La Playa Avenue, Pueblito Paisa, La Plazuela de San Ignacio, the Metropolitan church with a quick stop at Botero Plaza. Continuing on to the northern suburbs with stops at Antioquia University, the Botanical Gardens and the Music House, finally winding up at the Convention Center in Plaza Mayor. This area will allow you to see such things as the “smart buildings,” Los Pies Descalzos Park and the famous Metropolitan Theatre. Keep an eye out for Lights park as you make your way back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Explore the Guatape Reservoir

Your morning will kickoff with breakfast and a relaxing drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia where you will have the chance to climb the Penol Boulder. While perched along the waterfront of the Guatape Reservoir you can enjoy a scrumptious traditional Colombian lunch before the opportunity to navigate the lake via boat ride. Afterwards just relax or take a short walk around the area.
(Breakfast included)

Day 3: Transforming a Neighbourhood through Art

The final day will get underway in an area more commonly known as Comuna 13 with it’s stunning yet unique street art. This area of Medellin has undergone a transformative shift with an innovative program or open-air project initiated by the residents of this popular neighbourhood with symbolic graffiti. Through particular and dazzling street art this community has been able to tell a story and depict daily life showcasing the history and richness of the neighbourhood.
