Itinerary


Day 1


Arrival in Tokyo

Arrive in Tokyo and check in to your hotel. Then, meet your local tour guide for an orientation before heading out on a walking tour of Tokyo at night. 


Tour around the Bustling Roppongi District

Well known for its nightlife, luxury apartments, and famous landmarks, Roppongi district is known as one of the busiest in Tokyo. Check out the popular Roppongi Hills and admire the impressive panoramic views of the city from the Observation Deck. 


Cross the Famous Shibuya Crossing

Immerse yourself into the lively atmosphere of Shibuya district, go across the popular Shibuya Crossing, and look for the famous Hachiko Statue. Enjoy some leisure time before going back to the hotel.


Day 2


Visit the Historic Tsukiji Market

Start the day with a food tour of the famous Tsukiji Market. Check out the amazing selection of fresh seafood and mouth watering local gourmet delights throughout the busy alleys. Learn more about Japanese culture as you relish some of the famous Japanese food along the way, such as sushi, Japanese-style omelettes, and sake.


Take an Enlightening Walk around Ueno District

Explore the Historic Asakusa District

Visit the greatly admired Sensoji Temple, stop by the Asakusa Shrine, and learn about Japanese history, particularly during the Edo Era. You will also get a chance to check out the local shops selling almost everything from typical Japanese souvenirs to traditional local snacks at the famous Nakamise Shopping Street. 


Stop by the Colorful and Dynamic Shinjuku District

End the day with a walk around the lively Shinjuku district and experience the local nightlife. watch how the vibrant night lights transform the city, observe how the locals drink and dine, and check out Kabukicho, the infamous red light district.


Day 3


Journey to Enoshima Island

Take a break from the city and discover the cultural marvels of Kamakura and Enoshima Island on a sightseeing day trip from Tokyo. Embark on a journey to the scenic Enoshima Island offering notable shrines and temples as well as appetizing local delights.


Visit the Legendary Enoshima Shrine

See the famous Enoshima Shrine and learn about the fascinating legend of Benzaiten and the Dragon. The Enoshima Shrine is known as a popular site to increase luck in money and matchmaking. Feel free to wash your money at the shrine’s pond for good fortune or hang ema tablets on the Bounding Tree (Musubi no Ki) for a good marriage match.


Ride the Enoshima Electric Railway

Experience the retro charm of the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) going to Kamakura. One of the stations with an impressive sea view from its platform, take time to capture the breathtaking panoramic scenic views.


Take Photos at the Iconic Railroad Crossing at Kamakurakokomae Station

Stop by at the well known railroad crossing featured in popular Japanese anime Slam Dunk at the Kamakurakokomae Station. Once the political capital of Japan, Kamakura certainly offers another view of Japanese heritage through its architecture and traditions. 


Visit the Historic Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Go around the city’s most important Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Dedicated to the guardian deity of samurai, Hachiman, the majestic shrine has become a prominent landmark and one of the Important Cultural Properties of Japan. Appreciate the red torii gates, visit the museum featuring significant artifacts and treasures, and stroll around the breathtaking shrine ponds. 


Walk through the Busy Komachi Street

Go through the food stalls, lined along the bustling Komachi Street, offering an incredible selection of sweet and savory local delights, sample some popular street food, and try out Kamakura’s local delicacy, shirasu (white bait). Aside from the scrumptious local delights, you can also check out the local shops for authentic souvenirs like kimonos and ceramics. 


Marvel at the Imposing Great Buddha of Kamakura

Before heading back to the city, drop by the Kotokuin Temple and see the Great Buddha of Kamakura. Deemed as the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan, the monumental Great Buddha of Kamakura is a designated National Treasure and one of the famous icons in Japan.


Day 4


Admire the Majestic Mt. Fuji

Take in the picturesque scenery as you depart Tokyo for a drive to Mt. Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan known for its graceful conical form. Once there, proceed to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, situated at about 2,305 meters halfway up the mountain. Take in the breathtaking views over Fuji Five Lakes and Hakone National Park. Easily accessible by road, the 5th Station is known as the leisure platform featuring shrines, restaurants, and souvenir shops. 

 

Cruise across the Idyllic Lake Ashi

Take a short scenic cruise across the tranquil Lake Ashi, marvel at the captivating scenery of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Komagatake, and admire the magnificent wonders of nature.

 

Hop on the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway

Travel to one of Hakone’s highest peaks through the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway. Enjoy the amazing panoramic views of Lake Ashi, Mt. Fuji, and the surrounding Hakone National Park. Once you reach the summit, take a short stroll along one of the walking trails at the mountain top. Afterwards, end the day with a drive back to Tokyo.


Day 5


Depart from Tokyo

Check out from the hotel and head to the airport for your journey back home.

  • The Enoshima Electric Railway experience only covers Enoshima Station to Kamakurakokomae Station. Please remember to disembark at the designated station as disembarking at the wrong station will incur additional fees at the traveler’s own expense.

  • The Enoshima Electric Railway experience may be canceled due to unexpected weather or traffic conditions. In this case, travelers will travel to Kamakurakokomae Station via bus. Please note that refunds will not be granted.

  • Delays, shortening of tours, or omissions to the itinerary due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances are not subject to refund.

  • Itinerary is subject to change and the attractions may be closed due to traffic, weather, and force majeure. An alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions. 

  • If Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing, an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, or weather conditions, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st Station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park instead. 

  • Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base due to weather conditions. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued. 

  • If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Mt. Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas, the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations: Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, Shinobi no Sato, or any other similar destinations.
