- Durée: 4 Jours (environ)
- Lieu: Leticia
- Code produit: ctoamzn4
In efforts to give you the most authentic experience in the heart of the tri-border Amazonia region (Colombia - Brazil - Peru) we highlight some of the more uncharted, protected locations. In order to visit some of the most compelling sectors, including the native indigenous communities of the river basin we start you in Leticia (Colombia) bringing you through Tabatinga (Brazil) as well as a glimpse at the Peruvian side. Being such an extensive, exuberant almost impenetrable area you will be amazed seeing how the Amazon River (largest in the world), crosses it in a dance of movements in a myriad of directions. By diversifying our travel by means of foot, kayak or motorboats it will allow us to witness the endless species of reptiles, mammals, birds, not to mention thousands of types of plant life and indigenous reservations with ancient tradition. No doubt varying outcomes (such as climate) can change our course of action which is why we stay true to a flexible, very customized approach for our visitors all the while keeping our focus on a eco-friendly, minimal footprint adventure in the heart of nature.
Day 1: Depart for Leticia - Maloka Huitoto (Colombia)
Begin your day with a transfer from Leticia’s airport to Don Placido Huitoto’s home with lunch provided upon arrival. Afterwards we will hike into the jungle in search of many traditional species of medicinal plants and rare wildlife. Here you will meet with a Shaman who will give you an extensive introduction to the local culture consisting of legends, myths, traditions and amazonian rituals. Later we will enjoy dinner together with some optional evening activities (fishing, birdwatching).
(Lunch & Dinner included)
Day 2: Visiting the Agape Nature Reserve (Colombia)
Your morning will start with a refreshing hike into the amazon until we come across the Maloka of Boras followed by a dip in the Quebrada Takana. The accompanying Shaman will continue his teaching about the traditional way of life here before we make our way to the Agape Natural Reserve. Lunch will be prepared before we head up high into the tree tops (115ft) with all the safety gear provided for an unforgettable amazonian view. We may have the opportunity to camp here on the treetop platform following our dinner.
(All meals included)
Day 3: The Zacambu Reserve (Peru)
This morning we will kick off the day with another small hike to visit another indigenous community, San Pedro de los Lagos. This area is surrounded by various lakes like Yahuarcara and Victoria Regia, which you’ll have the chance to kayak on. We will break for lunch in Flor de Loto, then continue our way down the Amazon towards Zacambu Lake in Peru. Keep you eyes peeled for various sandy beaches, heaps of flora & fauna along with a possible pink dolphin sighting. Dinner & accommodation will be enjoyed in the comfort of a family dwelling where we will have the chance to see caiman out at night.
(All meals included today)
Day 4: Javari Et Amazone River - Leticia (Brazil-Colombia)
Wake up to the excitement of a boat ride on the Javari (Amazon River) where we will visit the small Brazilian town of Benjamin Constant. Keep a watch out for more pink dolphins among other wildlife. Afterwards we will make our way back to Leticia/Tabatinga for a more cultural exchange amongst some of the artisanal handicraft shops. We end the day with a sad goodbye and transfer to the airport.
