Day 1: Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - Bogotá-Cocuy (2800m)

Public bus transfer from Bogotá to the Cocuy Village: a mythical road through the heart of the Andes. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in the Cocuy (twin room)

 Day 2: Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - Sierra Nevada del Cocuy: Hacienda la esperanza (3600m)

Visit of the Cocuy and transfer in 4x4 to the house of Don Pastor. Acclimation hike till Hacienda la Esperanza (3600m) while visting el Alto de la cueva and the Capilla. Late afternoon, free time in the Hacienda surrounded by a flock of sheep, encounter with the local peasants and breeders of the region.

Day 3: Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - La Sierra Nevada del Cocuy: Hacienda la Esperanza-Sisuma (3900m)

Acclimation hike from Hacienda La Esperanza till the Valley of Lagunillas (3900m). Check in the Huts of the Parc (30min).

Lunch and walk in the surroundings: visit  the Laguna Pintada.

Dinner and Accommodation in the huts of the Parc.

Day 4: Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - Pulpito del Diablo y Laguna Grande de la Sierra (4450m)

Hike along the Pulpito del diablo and the glacier Pan de Azucar (5200m), Snowy peaks with a spectacular panorama of the Sierra Nevada of the Cocuy. Passing through a little canyon with many “frailejones” till the Laguna grande de la Sierra (4450m).

Dinner and accommodation in tents.

Day 5: Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - Sierra Nevada del Cocuy: Laguna Grande de la Sierra-El Toti (4975m)

Hike around the Laguna till the glacier el Toti (optional ascent included in the price for those who desire to do so). Difficulty: Beginner. Beautiful Viewpoint on the eastern part of the Cocuy park and the llanos.  

Day 6:Sierra Nevada del Cocuy - Cocuy

Downward hike toward la Esperanza going through the Valley de los Fraijones (3900m), waterfalls and the holy Cave of Cimbilicos  of the Uwa Indians. Transfer in 4x4 till the Cocuy Village. Free diner and accommodation in a Colonial Hotel in the Cocuy (multiple rooms, shared bathrooms).

Day 7: Cocuy - Colombia Tourism: departure from Cocuy Colombia

Departure from Cocuy Colombia.
