What to expect
This morning around 8am you will meet your guide at our offices. From here we will get right to learning and experiencing a very important aspect of the city, the metro system. The metro system is an innovative design that has really reivnited and reunited the people of a city that was once very hostile. We will hop nice and early right for our first stop.
With hundreds of different species of flora, the Botanical Gardens also have a bit of flair when it comes to fauna as you will notice the iguanas roaming around you. Take in the natural essence and bliss of the gardens before we head to the Plaza Botero. Botero is famously known for his bronze statues that you will notice all around you at the Plaza situated between the Museum of Antioquia and the Uribe Palace of Culture.
Now we will break for lunch.Let us know what you are in the mood for and our guide can happily suggest something for you.
Another amazing transportation option that has really allowed the locals from all areas of the city to gather and work in different parts regardless of the mountainous terrain is the MetroCable. Today experience this daily commute for some with incredible views included.
Our next adventure takes us to la Comuna 13 art project. In the past this area has been dubbed the most dangerous area of the city however there has been a major shift and the area is more peaceful than ever. There is a collective effort and love when it comes to art in this area and you will notice this with the massive murals on the majority of walls in the neighborhood. This afternoon, your guide walk and talk you through this world of art as you try and capture as much of it as you can!
Before we call it a day and head back to your hotel we will take in a great sunset and nice cold one from Nutibara Hill.
We will be back at the office in Medellin around 6pm today where the tour will end.
