Coffee Tour in Cali

It is not long before the word coffee appears when you are reading anything on Colombia. One of the world's favorite drinks has a long history as well as a sort of symbolic importance to it in Colombia. Although there are a plethora of places in the country to taste and view the magic of growing these precious beans, Cali is perhaps one of the better regions to do so! 

What to expect  

This morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the city. From here you will head to a coffee plantation not too far out of the city. For the next few hours, you will explore the farm and have an in depth experience of the different phases that the coffee goes through before it lands in your cup. From planting the seeds to the near-final step of roasting them, you will leave feeling well versed in what is behind that kick!  

Of course, this tour wouldn't be complete without having a taste and small lesson in the quality of different beans.

Later this afternoon, we will depart the farm back to your hotel in the city. 

Whether or not you drink coffee, this tour offers great insight into one of Colombia's largest exports and how these little beans play such an important role in the lives of many Colombians.
