Kennedy Hill 3-Day Hike with Minca Village, Coffee Farm and Sagrado Panku Falls Visit

WHAT TO EXPECT

Day 1: Santa Marta / Minca / La Tagua / Finca Santa Elena

You'll be picked up from your Santa Marta hotel in the morning then head to the interesting village of Minca. Offering its visitors a breath of fresh air, the village is nestled on the Kennedy Hill at 650 meters above sea level, thus its desirable cool temperature. Here, you'll visit La Victoria coffee farm and enjoy organic coffee as you learn about the process of making it. Then, venture further to the rough and unpaved road to La María farm in La Tagua village.

From the farm, hike up to Finca Santa Elena where your cabin for the night is located. This village has an altitude of approximately 2200 meters above sea level, making it a stunning vantage point to view Sierra Nevada, Ciénaga Grande, and the Caribbean Sea.

Day 2: Finca Santa Elena / The Peak / Finca Santa Elena

Wake up to the sound of nature and witness the sun as it kisses the snowy peaks of Sierra Nevada with its glory. After breakfast, begin your 3-hour hike to The Peak which offers perhaps the best views of the surroundings at 3100 meters above sea level. Throughout the tour, you will have an excellent view of the mountains, mainly on the snowcapped peaks Bolívar and Colón; crossing streams and natural springs in their pristine conditions. Along the way, you will also have a chance to see many endemic and migratory birds of different species.

Descend to Finca Santa Elena for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

Day 3: Finca Santa Elena / Sagrado Panku Waterfalls / Santa Marta

Experience another morning in nature, viewing as the sun rises over the snowy peaks and mingling with the locals in the village. Today, you'll visit the Sagrado Panku waterfall where you can have a refreshing dip.

After lunch at the village, trek back to the jump-off point and return to Santa Marta.
