Whether you are looking to escape the city for the day (a very long day) or prefer to enjoy the quiet in the evening and night we can help.

Villa de Leyva holds a record for having one of the biggest main squares in all of Colombia and is one to be reckoned with when speaking about the entire continent! Roughly three hours from Bogota by car the town offers a serene getaway with a number of different experiences you can have. Famous for its colonial architecture and incredible landscapes in all directions, the town that seems to have stood the test of time and even offers a unique look into the dinosaur era of all things!

What to expect

Early this morning you will be picked up by your guide from your hotel within the city. From here you will depart for Villa de Leyva - expect to travel for about three hours today. Today's private tour will include highlights within the town - and outside of the town such as the following:

Lagunas Azules - Exactly as they sound is what you can expect. Two stunning pools that are almost never the same colors thanks to the minerals within the water. Cool off and absorb the healing properties stemming from the earth with a dip into the blue!

Infiernito - Is a site once known as ceremonial grounds with a number of unique treasures from years past. Rock statues that may offer a glimpse into ancient space findings, sacred grounds that have been the subject of grave robbery, and more.

Raquira - Known as the artisan capital of Colombia but also another one of the country's hidden gems as it often gets overshadowed by its fellow neighbors, Raquira is a homemade haven. With an economy that is driven by the selling and exporting of the locals art to say the craftmanship here is unique an understatement.

**The day trip from Bogota will be about 12 hours in total

** Overnight will be in a local hotel and then returning to Bogota after breakfast the following morning.
