TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1: Reef Day Boat Trip and Plage de Moya
You will be staying in the stunning Les Boababs. Experience the second biggest lagoon in the world, see the most surprising shades of blue, and meet it’s outstanding marine life. Swim with the dolphins, manta rays, stingrays, sea turtles, and other fascinating creatures in Mayotte! Enjoy the rest of the day swimming and getting tanned at Plage de Moya.
Day 2: Mount Choungui and Place N’Goudja
Hike in Mount Choungui
Les Boabs is the foot of Mount Choungui, you will hike the steep trail for about an hour. Make sure you bring plenty of water, wear your hiking shoes, do not forget to bring your camera with you. Meet a lemur or two along the hike. At the top, we guarantee that the hike will be worth every sweat, a scenic panoramic view of the entire south of the island awaits you.
Place N’Goudja
The real reason people come here is for the sea turtles and is the best place to come and see them. During the day, make sure to bring your snorkeling kit along with you as you’re bound to come across lots of sea turtles in the water. There are also several different kinds of fish and corals to discover as well. If you want to stay for the night to witness turtles laying eggs, you can do so however this is a protected area so you will be advised to watch from afar.
Village Interaction in N'Goudja
N'gouja is Kani-Kéli, it means "little Kani", and Kani-Bé "big Kani"; it is the village of Kani-Kéli that has become bigger than its big brother. The proof is in the fact that they've set up a post office, and a town hall within the village, experience some local interaction in here and, watch how they do their handcrafted embroidery.
Day 3: Hike to Lake Dziani in Petite Terre

You will be traveling via barge to cross, and hike your way up to Lake Dziani. Located in the heart of the island of Pamandzi, Lake Dziani resides (Dziani means lake in Shimahorais, the local language). The water of the lake is said to be sulfurous which makes it putrid and is swarming with gnats. Walk by the path surrounding the lake would and enjoy the view of the crater and the nearby lagoon.
Day 4: De Coconi Botanical Gardens and Combani
De Coconi Botanical Garden
The Coconi Garden is said to be concentrate in Mayotte -- from a tiny flower to an extravagant tree you will be amazed by the majority of plant species that are found in Mayotte. The garden also has digital panels about the properties of plants found here, their medicinal and chemical usage to the locals of Mayotte.
Combani
Here you will see the area of Guerlain plantation align by rows of ylang-ylang and an alley of coconut trees, which is 800 meters far from Combani village. In the middle of the garden is a famous perfumer house which offers beautiful remains that are worth a visit. Discover the process on how to make the Ylang-ylang extract of Chanel N°5, Poison de Dior, Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, Chamade de Guerlain, l’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci.
Day 5: Ecomusee Du Sel De Bandrele and the Beauty mask
Ecomusee Du Sel De Bandrele
Ecomusee Du Sel De Bandrele is not your typical museum, this place will have you interact with the "Shingo mamas". Shingo Mamas are the women behind the traditional Bendrele salt in Mayotte, the traditional process is passed from mother to daughter. Whether you are a man or a woman, these mamas are very friendly and are very much willing to teach the overall process.
Mayotte Beauty Mask
We will be taking you to a local host who will teach you the secret to their beauty mask. This mask is worn by locals to prevent their skin from getting burned from the sun this is made from sandalwood and is worn by most of the women in Mayotte on a daily basis. After this, the traditional beauty mask for a wedding will be next, this is worn by brides of Mayotte and comes in intricate white patterns.
Day 6: Islet of Saziley
Pack in your mask, fins, and snorkel, sunscreen, hat, and tons of water because there are no shops on this islet. Spend the whole day snorkeling, swimming, and basking in the sun. Islet Saziley is one of the best snorkeling and diving spot in Mayotte.
Day 7: Wakeboarding in Maluja
Embark on a 30-minute journey to Wake Up Maluja. The following are the activities that you can enjoy on this trip; wake surf, wakeboarding, wakeskate, and wake foil. They offer beginner courses to first-timers, so do not worry they got you covered.
