For short time travelers to Northern Somalia (Somaliland) this trip takes in some of the best highlights in a short span so you can clear up time for free exploration and enjoyment at the bookends, or if you are combining Somaliland with Southern Somalia or Djibouti or Eritrea, this serves as a quick and cheerful "Best Of" the North as well.

WORKING ITINERARY

Pickup from a hotel of choice or the international airport in Hargeisa, and we head around the cultural markets and historical monuments of Hargeisa, experience local every-day life, see the economic engines of industry and trade of the city, and villages and farms outside and the rural realities. 

We head to Dhagah Gure first to see ancient cave drawings, before heading to more at the famous Laas Geel Caves (which dates back to 9000 years BC, with astonishing history where many international tourists visit each and every day). 

The European Union and Somaliland government also launched a project to preserve this place, as Somaliland is still not officially recognized to access UNESCO aid. The day is spent touring archeology and history.
