We do not include food in the tour for flexibility and control for the client's budget, but can arrange all of the food if they'd like to get an accurate synopsis and cuisine-cross-section of Somali cuisine as well.

For Somali diaspora and nationals and some exemptions and waivers written with permits, we can do these tour without the same regime and for smaller, local prices, from about $200 to $500 a day. For most entrants and visitors, you will need the full process and contingent. - You will also sign additional waivers when you arrive and for some nations, need to notarize this in your home country to attest with a witness you know where you are going and in good judgment realize the dangers of here.

WORKING ITINERARY - PART 1 OF THE TOUR (the SOUTH):

Day 1: Arrival and Registration and Secure Base in Mogadishu, Briefing

Today we do formalities at the airport and affix preassigned security detail and procedures for your trip (not revealed here for safety) -and plan the first 4 days in Mogadishu and Capital Area. Privately we reveal the names and options of hotels and places and routes, as publishing these is a liability and kidnapping concern. We mix up routes and visit local commerce, rural and urban life, meet officials and entrepreneurs and NGO's and port and police forces, or theme priorities of your liking or topical goal. Most safe hotels range from $100 to $300, although for some nationalities and areas it is permitted to stay in hotels with security of $30 to $60 (Hotel owner's decision, not ours, and security policy.)

We are usually (according to local Al Shabab and Al Qaeda movements and where Somali forces secure the terrain, move within several areas in the capital and several minor towns and ports on the shoreline.

Day 2-5: Tour and Visit of Life in Southern Somalia (Itinerary Custom and Revealed Privately more securely.)

We assign an armored SUV (model not shown) and armed trained assault troops and guards, 2 motorcycle scouts, and a guide and interpreter/fixer (media-able as well for AV support or reporting) Samples of some hotels (there are many more, and price ranges are):

The South includes:

Day 6: Hargeisa and the Horn Sites and Delights

Pickup from the airport in Hargeisa (a much more stable portion of the nation,) and we head around the cultural markets and historical monuments of Hargeisa, experience local everyday life, and see the economic engines of industry and trade of the city.

Day 7: Borama and Gabiley and the Somali Countryside

We head to visit the western frontier of Somaliland and Ethiopia spanning the border of Ethiopia, and villages and farms outside and the rural realities. 

Day 8: Ancient Caves and Prehistoric Coves  

We head to Dhagah Gure first to see ancient cave drawings, before heading to more at the famous Laas Geel Caves (which dates back to 9000 years BC, with astonishing history where many international tourists visit each and every day). The European Union and Somaliland government also launched a project to preserve this place, as Somaliland is still not officially recognized to access UNESCO aid. The day is spent touring archeology and history.

Day 9: Berbera Port and Beaches Tour and over to Sheikh Mountains

We tour Berbera and the port of the ancient trade in the Mediterranean and Red Sea, and the coastal fishing villages. Berbera is not far from Hargeisa and the road infrastructure is good as the road is modernized by United Arab Emirates. We head to climb the cooler and soaring Sheikh mountains to top off our views and capstone our short odyssey in Somaliland.

Day 10: Cliffs and Jet Black Mountains of Haylan and the Eastern Frontier of Somaliland (Depending on Conditions, or we do activities closer to the west.)

We wind through the more remote parts of the horn to Haylan, Laas Qoraay, and the black and brown moutainsides to the beaches, ending in Haylan or Bosaso if security and piracy allows (or we can replace this day with other areas closer to Sheikh and Berbera with similar scenery. This day is play it by ear and ends in Haylan/Bosaso or in Hargeisa/Berbera according to safety realities at the time.

Exact times and orders of sites visited are flexible. If you spend more time than advised at a destination you may miss aspects or stops on the tour and as s result will not be entited to any refunds. We do not take groups of more than a set maximum for ease of management and quality. We can typically customize and add special needs and activities and extensions to all of these tours. You are legally bound to follow the laws of the nation and also follow the authority on tour at all times and obey the safety rules. Guides and guards are the authority on tour and you are to pay attention to their directions. There will be no toleration of breaking the safety rules or endangering the guides and the group. Somalia is not an expensive destination but is not a budget travel country either. Tours are low price guaranteed already and though we can beat and match, we are a direct supplier and do not bargain. No cancellations are allowed nor refunds under any circumstances outside of our booking terms and condition and policy, and it will be your problem and loss if you cannot make your flight or trip and have failed to read the conditions. If the country or a section of it is closed or we cancel the tour you will always receive a full refund for the trip only and be notified of such.
