This trip takes in the best of all of Djibouti, the nation and offshore waters, in as condensed a time as practical and possible. You'll get a panoramic of the state and its state of modern affairs and natural habitats. 

The trip stays at excellent midrange hotels and includes fantastic Vehicles or Boats and guiding. We do not include food in the tour for flexibility and control for the client's budget, but can arrange all of the food if they'd like to get an accurate synopsis and cuisine-cross-section of Djibouti as well. 

WORKING ITINERARY

Day 1: Djibouti Arrival and City Tour and Introduction to the Area and Atmosphere

Swing into the international airport and we will be waiting for you to show you around the city and the markets and monuments, the seaside and the views of the old quarters and modern homes of the leadership and war history from the time of the silk road.

Day 2: Lake Abbe and the Chimneys to Lake Assal

We head high to lake Abbe to spot Flamingos and the unique geology. We head next to the grand Bara desert and the rupestrian gravure. Finally we make our way to Lake Assal the salt lake in the mountains reminiscent of Paragonia or Bolivia, and continue a geological expedition to the tectonic plaques and ocean rift which makes the place so strange and unique.

Day 3: Visit the Primary Forest and Park Reserve

We tour around the Primary Forest at almost 2000 meters elevation decked with Juniper trees and strangler figs. Here rests the retreat and summer house of the former governor, and after a great overlook view we head down to the Sable Blancs beach, the most beautiful beach in the nation replete with corals and tropical fish.

Day 4: Snorkeling and Diving Day and Volcanoes

We spend more of the day exploring the subsea magic of the Red Sea's Best snorkeling and diving sites.

Day 5: Whales Sharks (If in Season) And/Or Maskali and Moucha Island and the Red Sea's Best Diving and Shipwreck

We go to Arta to see the Whale Sharks or to the premiere dive and snorkel site, The Canyon, in Djibouti, and you can spend the day on one of the most beautiful spots in the red sea. Here you can dive or snorkel the reef (both included but you need to be certified) and one of the most amazing shipwrecks if not the best shipwreck in the Red Sea.
