Enjoy a 4 day/3 night excursion into the heart of Patagonia, where you will find a magical world of ice awaiting you and an unbeatable variety of adventures and focused sightseeing, in this beautiful and exotic region of the world at the southernmost reaches of the planet!


Itinerary:

DAY 1: Welcome to El Calafate
Arrive off your morning plane from Buenos Aires in El Calafate (FTE) airport and transfer to the hotel where you will stay for 3 nights. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour in El Calafate where you will get to see the most traditional and local destinations here. You will visit Cuevas Walichu (the Caves of Walichu), Laguna Nimez or Coastal Walk just meters from the shore of Lake Argentino.

DAY 2: Perito Moreno Glacier
Departing from Calafate this morning we take the provincial route Nº11 that, during the first 40 km, runs beside the main body of the Argentino Lake. Once in Los Glaciares National Park, we drive through the Magallanic forest up to the end of the road, where we find the balconies and walkways. The idea of this excursion is to spend some time walking around the balconies, enjoying the different views of the glacier and having your lunch. For lunch, you have access to a restaurant or snack bar (for fast food).

DAY 3: HALF DAY VIEDMA GLACIER EXCURSION (MORNING OR AFTERNOON)
Just 17 km South of El Chalten is the small and picturesque Tunnel Bay, located in a natural bay and just a few hundred meters from the river. You will sail across the bay heading South. The depth of the lake allows a pleasant  near-shore navigation, which allows for the observation of the massive hill of Fitz Roy. Arriving at Cape Horn (Southeast Ventisqueros Field), the boat turns west and meets the stunning view of the Viedma Glacier. Sail through the front of the glacier, passing icebergs and walls that rise some 40 meters above sea level!  This area is the ideal place for briefings about Glaciology that is provided by our guides.

DAY 4: CALAFATE BALCONY EXCURSION BY 4X4
Total distance to travel: 15 km.
We depart from El Calafate early this morning, we will go up to 1,100 metres above sea level. Through the east side of Huyliche Range, we will reach the balcony, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of qn.
