Train as a Ninja in an Authentic Samurai House!

Undergo an authentic ninja training experience at the historic Bukeyashiki samurai house. 

Ninjas have a prominent history and legacy in Japan, yet many aspects about them are still shrouded in mystery. This is your chance to uncover some of these details with a hands-on training experience. Undergo an authentic ninja training experience at the historic Bukeyashiki samurai house. 

The plan includes wearing a ninja costume and wielding swords, blowguns, and "shuriken" (ninja stars).　　　　　

【PLAN DETAILS】             

1. Put on a ninja costume 5 min

All participants change into their ninja costumes.

2. Meditation and a lecture on the "duties of the ninja" 5 min

Next, participants will meditate and receive a lecture on the Ninja's duty.

3. Sword practice 10 min

Participants will train in drawing and sheathing swords; younger children will use toy/imitation swords.

4. Practice using a blowgun 10 min

Receive hands-on training on how to use a blowgun in our blowgun dojo.

5. Throw "shuriken" (ninja stars) 10 min

Experience shuriken-throwing in the shuriken dojo. 

6. Commemorative photo   10 min

Take as many photos as you'd like in Bukeyashiki or our Japanese garden in your ninja costume!

7. Learn Japanese culture (optional) 10 min

Pay a visit to the shrine on the hill behind Bukeyashiki and gain insight about Japanese culture.
