The Republic of the Congo is one of the most diverse landscapes and rainforests on the face of the planet. With vast areas that have remained completely untouched by humans and the impact that comes with that, the country is full of hidden gems and corners to be explored.

For those who are in Brazzaville and are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of busy city life for the day, heading to Bela Falls will have you feeling recharged and in touch with nature in no time. Exceeding over 150m in height, the falls offer a beautiful view of the Congo River and are a fine example of nature at its best. Bela Falls are situated amongst a small piece of the Congo's pristine rainforest and although the noise from the crashing water can be heard from afar, the atmosphere is very peaceful and calming.

The falls are located just south-west of the ROC's largest and most populated city, Brazzaville, and make for a really great day trip.
