Itinerary

Day 1 - Andapa

Arrive at Andapa Airport. Your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. Take time to freshen up and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 2 - Andapa - Marojejy National Park

Start the day with a hike to Camp Mantella, traveling through the lower, wetter primary forests. Along the route, you'll have the chance to spot a variety of species, including the distinctive Blue Coua and Helmet Vanga. Set up camp and eat lunch when you get at Camp Mantella, then explore the campgrounds and travel to the famous Humbert Falls. You will also take part in a thrilling nighttime expedition to look for brown lemurs, bigger dwarf lemurs, fork-marked lemurs, and, if you're lucky, aye-ayes.

Day 3 - Marojejy National Park

Hike towards Camp Simpona as you continue through Marojejy National Park, taking in the diverse and notably rich array of flora and animals. Many of Madagascar's most famous furry residents live in the reserve, including the elusive Silky Sifaka (Simpona). After that, stop for lunch at Camp Marojejy before traveling to Camp Simpona, where you will spend the night.

Day 4 - Marojejy National Park

Trek your way to Mount Marojejy's summit, which rises to a height of 2132 meters. Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the North of the Island and the Indian Ocean before making your way down to the camp for lunch. After a quick rest and lunch, proceed to Camp Marojejy. Dinner and overnight at Camp Marojejy.

Day 5 - Marojejy National Park - Vohemar

Start your journey from the campsite back to the park's entrance through the primary forest. Before going to Vohemar, you'll have a picnic lunch. Upon arrival, proceed to the hotel to check in. Take time to freshen up and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 6 - Vohemar - Daraina

Drive off-road to Daraina. It is a difficult trip on a terrible road from Vohemar to the secluded paradise of Daraina. For a truly adventurous day, expect steep slopes, mud, and river crossings. You can enjoy some time at your own leisure once you have arrived and been installed at the camp. Afterwards, take a night walk in quest of the rare Aye aye.

Day 7 - Daraina

Explore the majestic Daraina Reserve, home to the golden-crowned sifaka, which is less well-known but just as stunning as some of Madagascar's more well-known places. Get a chance to encounter one of the rarest primates in the world that can only be found in the reserve. Journey deep into Daraina Reserve and experience one of the richest and most ecologically delicate regions in the north of the island due to its undulating hills covered in deciduous and semi-evergreen forest. You can also spot the hook-billed vanga, crested coua, Madagascar kestrel, and other distinct birds along the way.

Day 8 - Daraina - Vohemar

Depart from Dairana to Vohemar Airport for your journey back home.
