6-Day Marojejy National Park Flora and Fauna Trekking Tour

Itinerary

Day 1 - Andapa

Arrive at Andapa Airport. Your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. Take time to freshen up and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 2 - Andapa - Marojejy National Park

Begin the day with a trek to Camp Mantella, passing through the lower wet primary forests and get an opportunity to see a variety of reptiles and amphibians as well as birds including the distinct Blue Coua and Helmet Vanga along the way. Upon arrival at Camp Mantella, set up camp and have lunch before exploring the campgrounds and visiting the notable Humbert Falls. You will also experience an exciting night exploration in search of brown lemurs, greater dwarf lemurs, fork-marked lemurs, and if lucky, the aye-ayes. 

Day 3 - Marojejy National Park

Continue your journey through Marojejy National Park and hike towards Camp Simpona, taking you in a vibrant and especially rich array of flora and fauna. The reserve is home to many of Madagascar’'s most well-known furry friends, including the elusive Silky Sifaka (Simpona). Then, take a lunch break at Camp Marojejy before making your way to Camp Simpona, where you will spend the night. 

Day 4 - Marojejy National Park

Trek your way to Mount Marojejy's summit, which rises to a height of 2132 meters. Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the North of the Island and the Indian Ocean before making your way down to the camp for lunch. After a quick rest and lunch, proceed to Camp Marojejy. Dinner and sleeping arrangements at Camp Marojejy.

Day 5 - Marojejy National Park - Sambava

Depart from the campsite early in the morning and start your trek through the primary forest back to the entrance of the park. You will have a picnic lunch before traveling to Sambava. Upon arrival, head to the hotel for check in. Take time to freshen up and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 6 - Sambava

Transfer to Sambava Airport for your journey back home.
