Officially named Santa Cruz de Mompox but this riverside, remote village is better known as just Mompox and is no doubt a solid addition to any Colombian tour. This town of cultural richness and captivating architecture is a small city frozen in time. As the evolution and modernization of the remaining parts of the country flourish, this little riverfront community has been able to keep its colonial charm.
