Day 1. Arrival in El Salvador

Our team will wait for you at the airport and bring you to your hotel. 



Day 2. San Salvador And Suchitoto Visit

Today we’ll start with a city tour in San Salvador and after lunch we’ll continue to Suchitoto.

San Salvador is the capital city of El Salvador and is located in the central part of the country. It is known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and vibrant nightlife. We’re going to visit all of its most important attractions and sites.  Some popular attractions in San Salvador include:

- National Palace: This iconic building is the seat of the government of El Salvador and is home to the country's president. It is located in the center of the city and is known for its ornate architecture and beautiful gardens.
- Cathedral of San Salvador: This stunning cathedral is located in the center of the city and is one of the largest in Central America. It is known for its beautiful stained glass windows, impressive altar, and ornate decorations.
Metropolitan Cathedral: This is another popular cathedral in the city and is known for its modernist design and beautiful stained glass windows.
- National Theatre: Located in the center of the city, this theater is known for its impressive architecture and is home to the country's national symphony orchestra.


After a hearty lunch with pupusas, we’ll continue to Suchitoto. Suchitoto is a town located in the department of Cuscatlán, in the Republic of El Salvador. It is located approximately 30 kilometers northwest of the capital, San Salvador. Suchitoto is known for its colonial-style architecture and its cultural and historical significance. The town has a population of around 20,000 people and is a popular tourist destination in El Salvador. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, colonial-style houses, and traditional craft markets.



Day 3. Suchitlán Lake - Joya de Cerén - Coatepeque Lake

Today we’ll visit Suchitlan Lake, followed by a visit to Joya de Cerén and if time permits Lago Coatepeque.

Suchitlán Lake is a large artificial lake located in the Chalatenango department of El Salvador. The lake was created in the 1970s by damming the Suchitoto River, and is now used for a variety of purposes, including hydroelectric power generation, irrigation, and recreation. The lake is surrounded by lush vegetation and is home to a variety of wildlife, including a number of species of fish. The area around the lake is popular for activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming, and there are a number of resorts and hotels located on the lake's shores. The lake is also an important source of water for the surrounding communities.


Joya de Cerén is an ancient village in El Salvador that was buried and preserved under layers of volcanic ash when the nearby Loma Caldera volcano erupted around 600 AD. The site was discovered in the 1970s and has since been excavated, revealing a unique snapshot of life in a pre-Columbian village. The village of Joya de Cerén is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and is open to the public for tours. Day 4. Tazumal Maya Ruins - Ahuachapán hot springs 


Ahuachapán is a city in western El Salvador, located in the Ahuachapán department. It is the capital of the department and has a population of approximately 150,000 people. The city is known for its coffee and sugarcane production, as well as its textiles and clothing industry. It is also home to several universities and is an important cultural and economic center in the region. We’ll explore this town today as well as the hot springs and the nearby Mayan archeological site.

The hot springs are located in the town of Aguas Calientes, which is situated in the mountains of Ahuachapán. The hot springs are a popular tourist destination, with a number of hotels and resorts located in the area. Visitors can relax in the naturally heated waters of the hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic properties. The area around the hot springs is also home to a number of attractions, including hiking trails, waterfalls, and natural pools.

Tazumal is a pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site located in Chalchuapa, El Salvador. The site is known for its well-preserved Maya pyramids and structures, and is an important destination for tourists and researchers interested in the Maya civilization. Tazumal is thought to have been an important regional center for the Maya, and the site contains a number of buildings and pyramids that were used for religious ceremonies and other important functions. Day 5. Ruta de las Flores


Today we’ll explore the famous Ruta de las Flores. The Ruta de las Flores (Route of the Flowers) is a scenic mountain route in El Salvador that passes through a number of small towns and villages known for their colorful flowers. The route is located in the western part of the country, in the departments of Chalatenango and Ahuachapán, and follows a winding road through the mountains. Along the way, visitors can see a variety of flowers, including roses, sunflowers, and orchids, as well as enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The route is also home to a number of charming colonial-style villages, with colorful houses and narrow streets, as well as a number of small shops and restaurants. The Ruta de las Flores is a popular destination for tourists, who come to enjoy the beautiful scenery and learn about the culture of the region. We’ll stay overnight most likely near the Cerro Verde National Park with a view over the volcano.


Day 6. Cerro Verde National Park  - El Zonte - El Tunco 


We’ll start our day with a rewarding hike on a volcano in the Cerro Verde National Park. From the top of the volcano we’ll have a great view over the nearby volcanoes and also from the turquoise volcanic lake. During our tour to the Volcanoes National Park we’ll get great opportunities to see birds and some smaller wildlife. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes and carry enough water and protect yourself against the sun. 


Cerro Verde National Park is a protected area in El Salvador that is known for its beautiful natural landscapes and rich biodiversity. The park is located in the western part of the country, in the department of Santa Ana, and covers an area of approximately 22,000 hectares. It is home to a number of endangered species, including the Central American squirrel monkey and the black-faced solitaire, as well as a variety of plants and trees. The park is also home to a number of hiking trails, which offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Cerro Verde National Park is a popular destination for tourists and nature enthusiasts, who come to enjoy the beautiful scenery and learn about the park's unique flora and fauna.

We’ll then explore the Pacific coastline of El Salvador in which we’ll visit the beach of El Zonte and if time permits El Tunco. We’ll then continue to San Salvador where you’ll check in at your hotel.

El Zonte and El Tunco are two small towns located on the Pacific coast of El Salvador, known for their beautiful beaches. El Zonte is a small surfing village located about 40 kilometers west of the capital city of San Salvador. The town is known for its long, sandy beach and good surf conditions, and is a popular destination for surfers and beachgoers. El Tunco is a small town located about 10 kilometers to the east of El Zonte. It is known for its black sand beach and is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and other beach activities. Both towns have a number of small hotels, restaurants, and bars catering to tourists, and offer a laid-back atmosphere and a chance to experience the authentic culture of El Salvador.


Day 7. Departure 


Today we’ll bring you to the airport of San Salvador and make sure you’re on time for your flight back home. If you want to continue your travel overland to Honduras or Guatemala, please let us know if you need any assistance for border crossing and transport.
