WHAT TO EXPECT

On this tour, disconnect from your daily life and have a chance to step back and relax on some of the most pristine beaches, hike along the coast, and see the rich underwater world Colombia's northern coast has to offer.

Day 1: Cartagena / El Zaino

Depart from Cartagena at around 6 in the morning and stop for lunch at Galerazamba, see the Totumo Volcano, or the Pink Sea (available from February or March). After a quick tour around Santa Marta, travel for about an hour to a hotel in El Zaino, your hotel situated at the entrance of Tayrona National Park.

You have the option to have dinner in Rodadero Bay or Santa Marta, which has many nice bars and restaurants.

Day 2: El Zaino / Tayrona National Park / Santa Marta

After breakfast, you'll begin your tour of Tayrona National Park, home to some of the most virgin coastal landscapes in the entire country. Hike in the tropical foothills near Playa Cañaveral, at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains then continue to the exotic Arrecifes Beach. Venture further to the beaches of Arenilla, La Piscina, and finally, Cabo San Juan Del Guia, a postcard-perfect white sand beach surrounded by large volcanic rocks.

Return to El Zaino in the afternoon and travel to La Cienega to see the glorious sunset. Then, savor some good food at Rodadero before having some much-needed relaxation at your Santa Marta hotel.

Day 3: Santa Marta / Cartagena

Spend the rest of the morning at your leisure, exploring the breathtaking port city of Santa Marta, the first Spanish settlement in Colombia. You will then be transferred back to Cartagena by mid-day.
