This migratory spot, which is a part of Plage d’Arta, serves as a temporary home to whale sharks between October and late January. Hop on a boat and depart from the fishing port of Djibouti to Ras Korali. After a quick briefing about the do's and don'ts when with the whale sharks, you'll then have the chance to see them up close and personal as you swim alongside them. These huge animals feed almost exclusively on plankton and small fishes and pose no threat to humans. Aside from the whale sharks, Plage d’Arta is also a great spot for diving and snorkeling because the area has magnificent corals and many colorful fish.
