Immerse yourself in the rich culinary culture, history, customs and arts of northern Nigeria as you go on a week-long tour around Jos, Kano and Bauchi. Mingle with the locals while you try the art of tie and dye, prepare delicious local meals, explore stunning wildlife parks, and visit the top historical and cultural landmarks of the state.

Day 1: Abuja-Jos

Travel northeast from Abuja to Jos and upon arrival, visit Jos Wildlife Park, one of the top destinations in the state. Then, see Jos Museum and Zoo for animal viewing and learning about the history of various ethnicity in Nigeria. Overnight at your Jos lodge.

Day 2: Jos

Start the day with a visit to Asop Waterfalls, one of the three major waterfalls in the city. Here, you can take a dip in its refreshing waters and have a picnic. Then, mingle with the locals as you prepare a meal under their guidance and enjoy it with them.

Day 3: Jos-Kano

Travel further north to Kano and stop by the breathtaking Grand Canyon of Plateau State along the way. Arrive and check in at Porto Golf Hotel or similar hotel before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ancient Kano City Walls, an ancient defensive wall built to protect the inhabitants of the city in the mid 14th century. End the day at Dala Hill, where you can savor the views of the city below with the setting sun as the backdrop.

Day 4: Kano

Today, learn about the art of tie and dye at the Kofar Mata dye pits then get a taste of the local life as you try some mouthwatering delicacies with the locals at Kurmi Market, the oldest in the state. Then, learn more about the long and distinguished history of Kano at the 15th century Gidan Makama Museum before ending the day at your hotel. 

Day 5: Kano - Bauchi 

Hop on your tour vehicle and travel south to Bauchi State. Arrive at Yankari National Park, a large wildlife park where you'll find different species of birds, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, hippos and plenty of baboons. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner by Wikki Spring and end the day at the National Park Lodge.

Day 6: Bauchi

Start the day at the Tomb of Tafawa Balewa, the first and only Prime Minister of Nigeria, before heading to Sumu Wildlife Park for a leisure safari and game viewing of animals like giraffes, zebras, antelopes, blue wild beasts and more. Enjoy a dinner by a bonfire before ending the evening at your lodge.

Day 7: Bauchi-Abuja

Learn about the culinary culture of Nigeria as you prepare a local dish for breakfast. Then, immerse yourself in the daily lives of the  locals as you experience street photography. Your 7-day tour ends with a transfer back to Abuja.
