40 Day Supported Cycling Trip Across All Madagascar Tip to Toe (North to South)

This trip includes a team with a support SUV, medic, security, camping and kit quartermaster, satellite phone, guide, and team of tourism, wildlife, botanist, and security professionals, and even the camp setup ("glamp" but a tad rustic and ready for wilderness still...bicycles and backups (We include the motocross bikes or cycling bikes or you can bring your own)! You just show up and hit the road for the grand ride.

You will have everything included on this tour, turnkey. The tour will be flexible as to allow route changes but to eventually make it end to end. Please allow 2 months of time to cross Madagascar but we will endeavor to stick to the route. You will have a satellite phone, SAR and evac support, medical and security professionals along, route alternatives on tap to make it through and all the way, packs of electrolytes and protein snacks, all food and cooking included (and meals at the stated hotels when there,) as well as in the camp core tents and mats and accommodation, guides with knowledge of the Madagascar wilderness, fauna (yes - plenty of lemurs) and endemic plants (botanicals, not drugs.) - Anglophone of course.

We include the bikes or you can bring your own, and can liaise with any special zones or spots of interest to create a trip theme. This trip includes film, photography, and drone permits.

Notes: This trip requires physical and mental fitness, flexibility, patience, and sense of humour and a love of exploration and improvisational adventure. French is a plus but not necessary. We guarantee to get you tip to toe across Madagascar. If you decide to turn back and depart, there are no refunds, however we will get you to the bottom of the island, guaranteed. We include everything.

Our ground teams have experience providing security from everyone from BP to USAID to Trump's wife to Toyota to the Prime Minister of Japan, and while super-elite private scouts and security would be astronomical in cost (though if you are keen, we can discuss their provision for 2 months,) we will have security pros drawn from HR pools of ex-mil and intel-rich locals with real experience and triangulation ability, especially for the Dahalo (bandit raiders) population in the south, which historically was the only problematically but not currently a grave situation.

We have some alt routes through the vanilla coast and down to the Pangalanes canal and throughput around Ramanofana rainforest into the south, but on the primary and backup route parallels can keep to the ground the entire time (though we'll go on some of the worst roads in Madagascar) as long as we circumvent most of Masaola (deep jungle) forest. Here are some examples of trips we've regularly run cargo and people on and are beginning to offer intrepid travelers more often, and we know a lot of ways to get through the north-south axis. We GUARANTEE you will make it to the bottom as long as you don't tire out and decide to give up.

The bike itin framed will need to allow about 2 months but we will include the accommodation and camping either way and try to stick to their pace and schedule.  This trip requires physical and mental fitness, flexibility, patience, and sense of humor and a love of exploration and improvisational adventure.

A photographer can be along unless guests bring their own gear, and the trip includes film, photography, and drone permits.

We will have insurance and SAR/evac coverage, however, clients also need to get their own before the trip.

Kidnapping is not targeted to foreigners in Madagascar, but it can cover that as well. We've personally negotiated kidnapping and hostage situations within the island (not for tourists, for local businesses) and have direct experience with that as well.

Finally, as for bikes and kits, we import everything into NOS airport and include transfer to Diego, or into Diego if clients use a private plane to come into that city directly.
