Comoros Island Tour | Anjouan

Comoros Boat Cruise and Dolphin Watching Day from Anjouan (With Local Lobster Lunch and Dining!)

We start up the day with a pickup at your chosen hotel anywhere in Anjouan Island and briefing by our staff, after breakfast, and head to the entrance to the pier to embark on a nice boat trip and picnic to the Isle de Sel (Salt Island) with our private boat, to enjoy the day and the diving (snorkeling and swimming gear bring your own or ask us ahead of time) and the emerald waters of Madagascar's prettiest bays.

From here we spend a day cruising around the seabound splendor of the island and past the dark green forests and vanilla-lined volcano at the center of Anjouan, which is replete with the odors of perfumes and spices (and beautiful black sand, exploring with a veteran local guide in the archipelago, and will also stop at salt island for a delicious and unbeatable local lobster lunch and Comorian picnic. We enjoy a great break and view of the natural marine environment on and around Anjouan, and watch for dolphins that live in the area.

TOUR ITINERARY:

We will start at any hotel of your choice in the island, and head to the beachhead, where we will embark on our day leisurely cruising and swimming, viewing the volcano and Dzialandze crater slopes. Bring as much water as you may need for the day and any snacks, though lunch is provided. We cruise to the salt island and enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and dolphin watching today. We use the private boat for the day. We also see the manufacture of salt (local ecotourism to visit the industry.)

A lot of totally endemic plants and birds, all rare by their very essence of evolving on a remote detached island, live within the forest. We will try to spot them in the woods and slopes and lakeside today as we go.
