  • Duration: 5 Days (approx.)
  • Location: Wewak

If authenticity, budget-friendly, uniqueness, and raw is what you are hoping to experience on your adventure in PNG, this tour is a great place to start. If you are on a tight timeframe but are set on getting to the Sepik River, four nights total, in and out, is the lowest possible time frame to really get a feel for the incredible lifestyle and geography of the area.

As the longest river on the island of New Guinea, a few nights does not begin to cover this whole world that is the Sepik River. This tour, however, offers a very raw glimpse into the lifestyle and culture that is the area of Wewak and the Sepik.

The Sepik region is home to hundreds of thousands of people who rely almost solely on the river and dense forest around it to support them. This is an area of the world where it is as though time has stood still for the last 50 years. The reliance on the land and mother nature to provide all that is needed for the locals of the area is an incredible example of perseverance and a true show of what the necessities of life really are.

This tour is as budget as they come offering a very local experience. From PMV transport to a very basic guesthouse, it is best to expect very warm hospitality and hearts versus extreme comfort during your travels.
