In amongst an archipelago of 116 Islands that make up Seychelles, Mahe is the largest, by far the most developed, and most inhabited island.

Today we will explore the diversity of the island beginning with the capital city, Victoria. Our great guides are a wealth of information and love to share their knowledge of the culture and history of Seychelles.

Itinerary:

** Tour only available Monday - Friday

This morning, around 9 am, we will depart from the Stadium Carpark in Victoria.  We will begin our tour adventuring through Victoria visiting popular spots including the Victoria Clock Tower and the Sir Selwyn-Selwyn Clarke Market Place.

The Victoria Clock Tower, erected in 1903, is a focal point of the small capital. Although Victoria has massively changed over the years, the clock tower remains relatively untouched and other than maintenance, remains preserved in its original state.

Sir Selwyn-Selwyn Clarke Market Place will give us a great opportunity to get a feel for the way of life on the island. Markets are always a great way to immerse yourself into the culture and everyday life of a place. It is said to be the heart of the city and offers many items from fresh fruit to plenty of souvenirs.

Next, we will take a drive through the ever scenic mountain pass of Sans Souci. One of the most beautiful drives available on the island, the winding roads will take us through lush forest, plenty of vegetation, and also tea plantations.

Our next stop will be at the Mission lodge to take in one of the most famous views in Seychelles. Here, you're witness to incredible coast and mountain views from a quaint gazebo. From here, we will make our way to a local restaurant and enjoy a Creole buffet.

After lunch, we will enjoy some time along the southern coast as we head to a historic herb and spice garden. As we make our way between different locations, it's hard not to notice the incredible flora and fauna that surrounds you constantly. Should you have absolutely any questions, our guides are more than willing to inform you of the beauty that is around you, much of it native to Seychelles.

To end our day off, we will make a stop off at the local craft village. Here, there are souvenirs offered for guests and you're able to meet the local artisans while taking the opportunity to appreciate their culture.

Once we have finished enjoying the craft market, you'll be transferred back to your accommodation in Victoria
