Welcome to Chad also known as the Babel Tower of the World! Chad is about the size of Spain, France and Kansas combined is famous in the world as the home to up to 200 ethnic groups. 

The Republic of Chad is home to one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world such as Lake Chad. This African wonder is the worlds 17th largest lake. You will arrive at Lake Chad and board a boat to cruise on the lake with many floating islands and home to a wide variety of wildlife including Hippopotamus, crocodiles and large communities of migrating birds.

Itinerary

Day 1

International flight arrives today in Ndjamena. You are met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Hotel Chez Wu or other similar midrange.

Day 2

Breakfast at your Hotel followed by a full day tour of the city of Ndajemana the largest city of Chad. Ndjamena was named the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2009. A port on the Chari River, near the confluence with the Logone River, it directly faces the Cameroonian town of Kousséri, to which the city is connected by a bridge. The city continues to serve as the center of economic activity in Chad, despite the violent civil conflicts.

Visit the Central Market which is a regional market for livestock, salt, dates, and grains. Meat, fish, and cotton processing are the chief industries of Ndjamena. Other attractions of the city will then be visited including the Chad National Museum, the cathedral and several mosques of the capital. The national museum has a valuable collection of the Sarh Culture dating back to the 9th century. 

The avenue Charles de Gaulle which keeps the memory of the French colonial administration alive will also be visited. You will taste the Gala which is a local drink served in Chad in the southern part of the city.

Day 3

Following early breakfast drive to Lake Chad, where you'll have lunch in Douguia. Arrive at Lake Chad and board a boat to cruise on the lake with many floating islands and home to a wide variety of wildlife including hippopotamus, crocodile and large communities of migrating birds including winterings, ducks, ruffs, and other waterfowl and shorebirds. 

Day 4

Breakfast. A complete tour with the village of Gaoui lying 10 km northeast of Ndjamena. The village is said to have been the capital of the Sao Civilization (a race of giants in local folklore), and it is known for its traditional architecture and pottery knelled by local women. Return to Ndjamena, Handicraft center shopping optional at the end.

Day 5

You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
